Description
Her Honor: Stories of Challenge and Triumph from Women Judges Lauren Stiller Rikleen ISBN 9781639052400
At a time when surveys show declining public trust in the courts, Her Honor offers reasons for hope—and even pride. This book presents a compelling collection of personal stories by and about some of the nation’s most respected female judges. Each chapter shares candid and nuanced accounts of the challenges these women faced, the biases and inequalities they confronted, and the successes they achieved.
The 25 judges featured in Her Honor come from every level of the state and federal judiciary, including Chief Judges and two Supreme Court Justices. Their stories will resonate deeply with women who are currently navigating similar obstacles in their own careers.
Beyond personal triumphs, the book illustrates how these judges are united by a passion for an accessible, fair, and impartial justice system. They demonstrate profound compassion for humanity, a steadfast respect for the law, and the courage to act when precedent allows a path forward.
The lives chronicled in Her Honor are ones of lasting influence. By sharing these experiences, the book extends that influence even further, inspiring future generations to persevere, lead, and excel—even in the face of the most formidable challenges.
