Description
Food Law: A Practical Guide Tommy Tobin ISBN 9781641059510
Food law has emerged as a dynamic and increasingly important area of legal practice. Food is among the most heavily regulated products, subject to complex and often fragmented oversight at both the federal and state levels. Producers, manufacturers, and retailers must navigate a wide range of compliance obligations, made even more challenging by today’s interconnected and globalized marketplace. Although law schools have expanded their food law offerings in response to growing student interest, there remains considerable debate about what “food law” actually encompasses. For both students and practitioners, defining the boundaries of this evolving field—and understanding how it functions in practice—can be daunting.
Designed for those new to the field, this Practical Guide provides a clear and accessible overview of how lawyers advise and support food and beverage clients across multiple areas of legal practice. Written by practicing attorneys for practicing attorneys, the guide emphasizes real-world insight and actionable guidance, helping readers understand not only the scope of food law, but also the practical work lawyers perform in this multifaceted and rapidly developing area.
