Several chapters present new significant Supreme Court cases: Chapter 1 (Lexmark International, Inc. v. Static Control Components, Inc.) (standing), Chapter 3 (Lightfoot v. Cendant Mortgage Co.) Abbasi) (Bivens claims and new contexts), and Chapter 7 (Sprint Communications Inc. v. Jacobs) (Younger abstention). Chapter 6 contains a lengthy note on Plumhoff v. Rickard (summary judgment and qualified immunity).
Finally, the new edition includes updated notes with recent caselaw and new discussion points.
