Bankruptcy/Creditors' Rights
Bankruptcy Simulations: Bridge to Practice
Product details
Description
Use of this book assists bankruptcy law professors in transforming podium courses into ABA-required experiential learning opportunities. As bankruptcy professors understand, the complexity of debtor-creditor law can dismay students as they work to figure out how to put together the puzzle pieces that comprise this complex, multi-layered area of practice. The laws, procedural rules, official forms, and complicated relationships between and among creditors and debtors combine to create mosaics of intricate patterns – or webs for malpractice claims. This book helps law students put together the interconnected pieces of consumer debtor- or creditor-focused law practice – with simulation exercises introducing students to the Official Forms, guiding them through multiple creditors’ claims, and supporting them in developing as trustees, consumer debtor’s lawyers, or various creditors’ lawyers. The fact-based exercises provide multiple opportunities to develop writing ability, ethical client counseling skills, and an understanding of how to use bankruptcy laws, rules, procedures, and forms.

Rental Terms
Return by December 28, 2026 for Fall 2026 rentals.
- Late Fees
- Books returned after the semester deadline accrue a weekly late fee of about 10% of the book's Brand New price. Late fees stop once your book ships back or the total reaches the book's replacement value (its Brand New price) - you never pay more than that. We email a reminder 48 hours before any charge, and any late fees are charged to the payment method you save at checkout.
- Damage Fees
- Books returned damaged beyond normal classroom wear may be assessed a damage fee, capped at the book's replacement value (its Brand New price). Any damage fees are charged to the payment method you save at checkout after we inspect the returned book.
- Return Shipping
- Returning your book is free: print a prepaid label (USPS or UPS, whichever is cheaper for your package) from your account's My Rentals page, whether you send it back early or on the semester deadline. Cancelling a shipped rental for a refund is different: there, the return label cost comes out of your refund.
- 30-Day Cancellation
- Changed your mind? Cancel an active rental within 30 days of your order from My Account → My Rentals. Cancel before your book ships and it’s free; once it has shipped, we refund the rental price minus a 15% restocking fee and the return label cost, released once we receive your book. Shipping is non-refundable.
