About the Author
Lady Jane Acquah holds a PhD in African history and a doctoral portfolio certificate in African and African American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.

Toyin Falola is the Jacob and Frances Sanger Mossiker Chair in the Humanities at the University of Texas at Austin as well as a University Distinguished Teaching Professor.
