Description
Antitrust Simulations: Bridge to Practice 3rd Edition Steven J. Cernak ISBN 9798887868394
In real-world antitrust practice, abstract legal principles must be applied to complex and often messy factual situations. Unlike appellate opinions or traditional casebooks, the facts of antitrust disputes do not arrive neatly organized or clearly framed. This book bridges that critical gap by immersing students in true-to-life documents and factual records drawn from real antitrust matters, mirroring the way antitrust issues actually arise in practice.
Covering all major substantive areas of antitrust law, the book incorporates contemporary, evolving, and newly revitalized enforcement theories, including those advanced during recent presidential administrations. Each chapter provides concise, accessible summaries of governing legal principles, giving students a solid doctrinal foundation while leaving ample room for traditional Socratic method teaching and in-depth classroom discussion.
By working directly with realistic materials—rather than sanitized case excerpts—students learn not only what antitrust law is, but how antitrust law is practiced. The result is a pedagogically flexible text that equips students with both legal knowledge and practical analytical skills, including issue identification, fact development, and strategic reasoning.
Students who have used earlier editions consistently report that this approach leaves them better prepared than their peers when entering antitrust practice, enabling them to contribute more effectively to real matters from the outset of their careers. This book is an ideal resource for instructors seeking to combine rigorous legal instruction with meaningful exposure to real-world antitrust practice.

Rental Terms
Return by December 28, 2026 for Fall 2026 rentals.
- Late Fees
- Books returned after the semester deadline accrue a weekly late fee of about 10% of the book's Brand New price, for each copy that is overdue. The rent you have already paid counts toward the book's replacement value (its Brand New price), so late fees stop once your rent plus late fees reach it. That replacement value is the most a rental can ever cost you. We email a reminder 48 hours before any charge, and any late fees are charged to the payment method you save at checkout.
- Damage Fees
- Books returned damaged beyond normal classroom wear may be assessed a damage fee, capped at the book's replacement value (its Brand New price). Any damage fees are charged to the payment method you save at checkout after we inspect the returned book.
- Return Shipping
- Returning your book is free: print a prepaid label (USPS or UPS, whichever is cheaper for your package) from your account's My Rentals page, whether you send it back early or on the semester deadline. Cancelling a shipped rental for a refund is different: there, the return label cost comes out of your refund.
- 30-Day Cancellation
- Changed your mind? Cancel an active rental within 30 days of your order from My Account → My Rentals. Cancel before your book ships and it’s free; once it has shipped, we refund the rental price minus a 15% restocking fee and the return label cost, released once we receive your book. Shipping is non-refundable.
