The authors combined the book and the website so readers could learn more about the practice of bioethics law at the same time they are beginning to understand the theory and content of bioethics law. The second edition includes updated materials on the meaning of informed consent, death and dying, reproductive rights, the ways in which advances in genetics (including CRISPR) affect patent and other rights, genetic editing, and neuroethics, as well as discussions of the ways in which bioethics has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rental returns: free at semester's end, prorated if early
Print a prepaid return label from your account whenever you have finished with the book, and drop it at the carrier listed on the label. Returning it by your semester return date, or after it is already overdue, is free with no deduction. Returning it early, before that date, deducts a 15% restocking fee and the label cost from your refund.
